Mohini Verma

Dr. Mohini Verma was born in Rupnagar, Punjab, India. She earned her Ph.D. in the faculty of Biological Sciences under the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India in 2024. She was awarded with “Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) Junior & Senior Research Fellowship” from DST, Government of India to pursue her doctoral research work. Dr. Verma has worked under the supervision of Dr. Amitabha Acharya in nanobiology lab at CSIR-Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India. Her Ph.D. thesis deals with “Rational design of functional nanoparticle-biomolecule composites: Synthesis, characterization and biological efficacy studies. She has expertise in synthesizing different functional nanocomposites having biomedical applications like wound healing, anti-cancer and anti-bacterial activity. She has completed her Master’s and Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Punjabi University Patiala, Punjab, India.
Dr. Verma’s pioneering research, showcased in prestigious journals like ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Nanoscale (RSC), ACS Applied Bio Materials, Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical (Elsevier), Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces (Elsevier), RSC Environmental Science: Nano, Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology (Elsevier), etc. Along with this, she has contributed in three book chapters and one patent.
Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the field of nanomedicines in Materials-Envi Lab at the Nanotechnology Centre, CEET, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
