Rohan Jena

Dr. Rohan Jena hails from Odisha, India, where he completed his early education and earned his bachelor’s degree. He went on to receive his Master of Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati and completed his Ph.D. at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore. Dr. Jena’s research expertise spans a broad spectrum of areas including electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and crystallography. He has co-authored over 16 high-impact international publications and has made significant contributions to the development of advanced functional materials for energy conversion and environmental applications.
Currently, he is working as a Junior Postdoctoral Researcher at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava (VSB-TUO). His research focuses on the electrocatalytic exploration of novel nanomaterials, including nanoparticles, single-atom catalysts (SACs), dual-atom (DACs), and triple-atom catalysts (TACs). A major part of his work involves the development and optimization of CO₂ electrolyzers for the selective production of C2 and C3+ products. This includes comprehensive evaluation of catalyst performance, stability, and degradation mechanisms using advanced non-invasive in situ and operando techniques
