Sudip Bhattacharjee

Dr. Sudip Bhattacharjee was born in Ghurisha, a small village in the state of West Bengal, India, where he completed his early education. He earned his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Burdwan in 2017, followed by an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Bankura University in 2019. He completed his Ph.D degree in 2025 from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science under the guidance of Prof. Asim Bhaumik. His doctoral research focused on design and synthesis of porous materials such as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), porous organic polymers (POPs), silica, zeolite and metal oxides for CO2 conversion to valuable chemicals through thermal and photochemical conditions. He also specialized in green hydrogen production, biowaste conversion and sustainable chemistry.
Dr. Sudip Bhattacharjee has published 9 first author and more than 20 co-author research articles and reviews in reputed peer-reviewed journals including Advance Functional Materials, ACS Catalysis, Small, Green Chemistry, ACS AMI, Chemical Communications, and Chemical Engineering journal. In addition to the articles, he holds one granted German patent and one published Indian patent.
Dr. Sudip Bhattacharjee is currently a postdoctoral fellow at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, where his research focuses on developing single atom containing porous materials for CO2 and bio waste conversion to valuable chemicals through thermal, electro, photo-electrochemical approaches.
