Vijay Prabhakaran Nallan

Vijay Prabhakaran Nallan was born in Chennai, India. He received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Madras, India at 2018. After obtaining his master’s degree he joined Syngene International Ltd, Bangalore, where he worked as a Research Associate Scientist until 2020. In 2021, he joined Aurigene Oncology Limited, Bangalore, where he worked as an Associate scientist. Later, he worked as Research Associate in Taros Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG, Germany until  2023. Further, he joined the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT), Germany, as a Research Assistant in the group of Jagadeesh Rajenahally in the Department of Matthias Beller. His research interests are related to the development of homogeneous and heterogeneous base metal catalysts for organic synthesis. Currently, he joined as a PhD researcher in the Materials-Envi Lab at the Nanotechnology Center of the Center for Energy and Environmental Technology (CEET), VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, under the supervision of Prof. Radek Zboril and Prof. Jagadeesh Rajenahally. His current research focuses on nanocatalysis and single-atom catalysis for advanced organic transformations.
