Four members of MEL joined the tenth edition of Technika RUN 2026, a charity race organised by VŠB-TUO in support of the Ondrášek mobile hospice. Pavel Zháňal secured first place in the male employees’ category, completing the 10 km course in 42 minutes and 22 seconds.
Alongside Pavel Zháňal, Ondřej Malina, Seungyeop Yi and Lucie Mohelníková took on the 10 km challenge, joining fellow university employees, students and their family members.
“When my colleagues suggested taking part about two weeks before the race, I was happy to join them. There wasn’t much time left to train, but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. We had great weather, the atmosphere was wonderful, and it felt good to support such a worthwhile cause. I’m already looking forward to next year and hope even more colleagues will join us,” said Lucie Mohelníková.
The Ondrášek mobile hospice provides care and support for children and adults with life-limiting illnesses and has a long-standing partnership with VŠB-TUO. Those who did not take part in the race can also contribute to the cause. More information is available on the Technika RUN 2026 website.
