Indrajeet R. Warkad
Dr. Indrajeet R. Warkad was born and raised in Maharashtra, India. He completed his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry in 2017 from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and qualified NET-LS, SET, and GATE in Chemical Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in 2024 from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai-Marathwada campus Jalna under the supervision of Prof. Manoj B. Gawande. His research focused on single-atom catalysts and nanomaterials for biomass valorization and sustainable organic transformations, resulting in publications in high-tier journals including Chemical Society Reviews, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Green Chemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, etc. In addition, he has contributed to one book chapter. During his doctoral studies, he received both national and international awards in poster presentation competitions for his research contributions in sustainable catalysis and biomass valorization.
Currently, he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Nanotechnology Centre, CEET, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava under the guidance of Radek Zbořil, Jagadeesh Rajenahally, and Manoj B. Gawande on the development of single-atom catalysts for sustainable chemical transformations.
