Pavel Zháňal

Pavel Zháňal is a researcher at VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. His work focuses on transmission electron microscopy (TEM), microstructural characterization of materials, and experimental data analysis. He received his Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Research from Charles University in Prague and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. His previous research focused on irradiated structural materials for nuclear energy applications and neutron irradiation-induced degradation mechanisms. At VSB, his research is dedicated to transmission electron microscopy and the characterization of advanced materials, while also developing Python-based tools for image and experimental data analysis.
