Ajith Parambil
Dr. Ajith Manayil Parambil earned his Ph.D. from the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, in 2023. During his doctoral research, he specialized in aqueous contaminant sensing and remediation, employing innovative approaches with carbon dots and their novel composites. His expertise extends to logic gates, device fabrication, and biocomputation. Dr. Parambil enriched his research experience as a visiting researcher at Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan. Before obtaining his Ph.D., Dr. Parambil excelled academically, earning an M.Phil. and M.Sc. Degrees from Madras University, Chennai, India, and Gandhigram University, Dindigul, India, respectively.
His academic achievements include being a Gold Medalist first rank holder. Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Parambil has received numerous national and international awards and fellowships. Notably, he was honored with the „Augmenting Writing Skills for Articulating Research (AWSAR)“ National Award for Best Science Research Story in 2021 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. He has also been a recipient of the „Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)“ Junior & Senior Research Fellowship from DST, Government of India, a Young Scientist International Travel Grant from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), DST, Government of India, as well as the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) Visiting Researcher Scholarship from the Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan, and the Global Talent Internship Scholarship in 2021 from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan.
Dr. Parambil has significantly contributed to the academic discourse with publications in esteemed journals such as Small (Wiley), Chemical Engineering Journal (Elsevier), and Journal of Material Chemistry B (RSC). Currently, Dr. Parambil serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Materials-Envi Lab at the Nanotechnology Centre of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technology (CEET), VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, under the mentorship of Prof. Radek Zbořil. His present research focus is on the „Advanced Materials and Single-atom Engineering for Environmental Technologies“ project, showcasing his dedication to pushing the boundaries of environmental science and technology.
