Manohara Halanur

Dr. Manohara Halanur is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies, VSB-TUO, Czech Republic, under the supervision of Prof. Radek Zboril and Prof. Daniela Plachá. His expertise spans polymer-based membranes, nanomaterials synthesis, and sustainable wastewater treatment, with a strong focus on upscaling lab innovations. His current research focuses on developing sustainable technologies for wastewater treatment, particularly advancing photocatalytic membranes and novel materials for enhanced water purification.
Previously, as a postdoctoral fellow at Tel Aviv University, Israel, he worked on membrane technologies, including lithium separation from brines, microbial biodegradation of plastics/membranes securing various research funding, and achieving a pending patent. He has 20+ publications in Q1 journals, mentored graduate students and received multiple accolades including ‘AWSAR Award-2020’ from DST, India for his contributions to science and sustainability.
