Swati Verma received her master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Delhi, India, in 2010 and earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2017. During her Ph.D., her research focused on the synthesis of functionalized graphene oxide and its composites for the adsorption and photocatalytic removal of inorganic and organic pollutants. In 2018, she joined the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as a Project Scientist. In 2020, she moved to South Korea to work as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Hanyang University, Seoul Campus. Over the past three years, her research has been centered on the removal of hazardous volatile organic compounds, commonly found as indoor air pollutants. Swati has made significant contributions to her field, publishing 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and authoring five book chapters, demonstrating her expertise at the intersection of materials chemistry and environmental engineering. Currently, she is working as a senior researcher in the MEL group at the Nanotechnology Center, CEET, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic.
