David Panáček

David Panáček is a graduate of the doctoral studies in materials chemistry at Palacký University in the Czech Republic under the supervision of Professor Michal Otyepka, a recognized expert in the field. David’s research focuses on developing novel low-dimensional nanomaterials for biological and environmental applications, including carbon quantum dots, graphene, and its derivatives. He also completed a Ph.D. fellowship at the Catalan Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in Spain, working under the supervision of Professor Arben Merkoçi, one of the world’s leading experts in sensing applications. In 2022, David was awarded a prestigious European Graphene Flagship grant as a principal investigator; the grant was used for an overseas research fellowship at a top institution.
